A Language Without a Vocabulary

Dolish is technically not a language. Languages are systems of communication through the organization of sounds, symbols, and gestures. Dolish has none of this. Dolish is made of action intentions. These can contain multiple layers of information:

  • Physical movement
  • Need fulfillment goal
  • Environment
  • Other people
  • Scenario
  • Time indications

It’s hard to put a limit on what can be conveyed with Dolish. As most people are used to conveying concepts and asking questions in verbal or written language, attempting to translate more complex concepts from formal languages into the intended actions used in Dolish can be difficult.
