Description

This template is intended to allow calls for citations for article categories, without repeating the claim implied by the category in the article text with a citation needed tag.

It will categorise tagged articles into Category:Articles with uncited categories.

Usage

{{Uncited category|type = biography of a living person|People|Films directed by Woody Allen|date=21 November 2024}} produces:

This biography of a living person is in the categories Category:People and Category:Films directed by Woody Allen, but no reliable sources are cited to verify their inclusion. Please help by adding references that support their inclusion, or remove the categories if none exist. (21 November 2024) (Learn how and when to remove this template message)

For example, {{Uncited category|cat1=Music videos directed by Hype Williams|date=July 2013}}, could be placed on Saturday Night (Jessica Mauboy song) to indicate that the Category:Music videos directed by Hype Williams is not cited within the text of that article. |Cat1= and |Cat2= are aliases.
